This image is a combination of exposures. The cabin and hills were created using a painting with light technique. The stars in the first image are a combination of several star still images with exposure of 25 seconds. The short exposure freezes the star movement and creates star stills. The star still images were then taken into Photoshop and blended together to create one image. Using the magic of Photoshop the star still image was layered and blended with the cabin to create the finished image.
This version of the image shows star trails. Star trails are a combination of several images with the exposure set at 4 minutes. The long exposure allows the stars to move. In Photoshop the exposures are blended together to create the star trails.

This short video was created in the Lake Tahoe basin. Taylor creek and nearby meadows. Featuring Kokanee salmon, black bears and coyotes. The Sierra mountains are one of my favorite locations to photograph.
Grab a beverage, set back relax and enjoy natures wildlife as seen through my eyes.
