About us

My name is Tim Torell. Tim Torell
I’m a native of Nevada living in Reno. I was raised on a ranch in northern Nevada near the small town of Jackpot.  I have always enjoyed the outdoors and what it has to offer.
My dad gave me my first camera when I was a young man. I have enjoyed photography from that day forward. Wildlife photography is my passion. I enjoy setting and watching wildlife go about their daily routine.  I’m always amazed the lessons nature has to offer if one only takes a moment to observe.
I try to capture the comical side of wildlife or tender moment’s they shares together. It may be the interaction of a group of elk.  A bighorn sheep lamb leaning against it mother, the passion of an adult bird caring for its young or the curious look an adult moose gives a bee.  These are the little things that drive my passion for wildlife photography.  Slow down and observe nature and you will also discover its passionate side.
I am a member of the Reno Photo club. I have won many awards including photographer of the year several times.
I teach landscape, night and low light, painting with light, macro and wildlife photography.
I lead group workshops as well as one on one session. For more information please visit my website.
Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding your photographic challenges as well as wildlife photographic techniques.
